A construction company in Mississauga is currently hosting a COVID-19 vaccine pop-up clinic open to residents 12+.

EllisDon — along with a few corporate partners — had initially planned to offer the shots only to workers and their families.

After realizing their vaccine supply far outpaced demand, they opened it up to the broader community aged 12 and up, said Steve Chaplin, vice-president of health, safety and environmental.

“Getting through this pandemic is a shared responsibility,” Chaplin said. “We are proud to do our part in helping to get our Peel essential workers, employees, partners, and their families vaccinated to continue to keep our communities safe.”

Over 15,000 people have made appointments at EllisDon’s clinic, with all appointments booked up even after the clinic extended its vaccinations to May 29 (although you can register for their Will Call list in the event of unused vaccines or cancellations).

To qualify for the Will Call list you need to be able to get to the office in 30 minutes, EllisDon says.
