Mississauga bylaw officer’s jacket stolen in Kitchener

Police are investigating after a City of Mississauga bylaw enforcement jacket was stolen from a car in Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police say a car was broken into near Kitchener Market just before 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The jacket and other items were taken from the vehicle. Police don’t know if the jacket was specifically targeted.

Mississauga bylaw officers are used to issue tickets and enforce infractions surrounding parking, noise, building, pets, garbage and most recently those who break rules surrounding COVID-19.

The jackets are dark blue with reflective silver and yellow.
