Mississauga, Brampton residents can put yard waste to the curb starting Oct. 4

Weekly yard waste collection for Mississauga and Brampton residents begins Oct. 4 and continues until Dec. 10. 

Region of Peel waste management officials remind residents that their yard waste must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day, and must be in a Kraft brown paper bag, or any bin/container clearly labelled “yard waste” with a marker or sticker.  

Acceptable yard waste items include: 

• leaves and yardrakingswith debris 
• tree trimmings, branches
• brush, hedge trimmings
• household and garden plants
• Halloween pumpkins (no candles)
