Woman dies after Mississauga house fire on Credit Woodlands

An elderly woman has died after a second-floor fire near The Credit Woodlands in Mississauga today.
The woman, who police say was in her 70s, was pulled from the fire showing no vital signs. Peel Paramedics were on the scene quickly and administered CPR before she was rushed to Credit Valley Hospital hospital in life-threatening condition.
She succumbed to her injuries shortly before nine Saturday night.
There is no word yet on the cause of the blaze.
Six people in total were rescued from the home.
Fire crews appear to have the fire under control but are asking people to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
