The City of Mississauga is inviting not-for-profit arts, culture and community groups to apply now for financial help next year.

Applications for the City’s 2022 Culture and Community Grant Programs are now open online. Those wishing to apply must first attend a virtual information session, unless their group received City funding in the last two years.

“The City provides these grant programs to help strengthen and support our local arts, culture and community organizations,” said Jodi Robillos, the City’s acting commissioner of community services. “These organizations provide key programming and services that meet the needs of our residents and create a vibrant and welcoming community.”

Grants are provided in four programs: arts and culture; community; cultural festivals and celebrations; and culture projects.

Arts and culture virtual sessions are scheduled for Aug. 25 (9-11 a.m.) and Sept. 1 (6-8 p.m.), community grant session for Sept. 7 (2-3 p.m.), and cultural festivals and celebrations sessions for Aug. 26 (6-8 p.m.) and Sept. 2 (9-11 a.m.).

Applications must be submitted online at mississauga.ca/grantsportal by Oct. 15, at 4:30 p.m.
