Mississauga and Brampton report 45 new COVID cases today, 535 in Ontario

Mississauga and Brampton account for all of the new COVID-19 cases within Peel Region today (Oct. 10) with 45 people infected with the virus during the past 24 hours.

The Ontario government reports that across Ontario, there are 535 new reported cases and that two people have died.

The government data shows that 388 of the new cases are those who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

In Ontario hospitals, 153 people are in intensive care units with most all – 139 people – being those who are not vaccinated. Hospital data is considered completed because not all report their findings on weekends.

Other amounts from Ontario include:

  • Toronto – 98 new cases
  • York Region – 63 new cases
  • Ottawa – 58 new cases
  • Hamilton – 39 new cases
  • Windsor-Essex – 35 new cases
  • Durham Region – 16 new cases
