Brampton and Mississauga have 6th highest COVID-19 positivity in Ontario

Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon) currently has the 6th worst COVID-19 positivity in Ontario, higher than the province overall.

Toronto-based research group ICES ranked all 34 public health units in Ontario for the week of August 29 to September 4 based on their percent positivity (percentage of positive tests in the area).

Peel is listed sixth at 4.40%, while Ontario overall is listed 8th at 3.43%.

Top 15 public health units by COVID-19 percent positivity

For all Ontario residents, the overall percent positivity among those tested for COVID-19 during the week of August 29 was 3.4%, an increase of 0.2% from the previous week.
