Snow Mississauga

Mississauga and Brampton residents, and particularly motorists, should be prepared for some cold, wet, sloppy and possibly snowy weather this afternoon, tonight and overnight into Friday morning.

That’s the latest call from The Weather Network, which notes a widespread blast of Arctic air is flooding into the Great Lakes region over the next while that will put an end to above seasonal temperatures.

Larger amounts of snow are expected to fall in parts of northeastern Ontario while Mississauga, Brampton and the GTA will get mostly rain today, this evening and overnight, with the possibility of snow or wet snow in the morning. So, it could be a bit of a sloppy commute Friday morning.

For some areas, this will be the first measurable snowfall of the season, so drivers are being urged to brace for deteriorating and quickly changing conditions.

Weather officials are also calling for a bout of lake-effect snow that could impact southern Ontario over the next 24 hours.

Beyond this weather system, a relatively weak clipper is expected to track across the Great Lakes and southern Ontario during the day on Sunday, bringing with it light snow and accumulation of two to five centimetres in most areas and five to eight centimetres possible southwest of the GTA.
