A Mississauga resident is feeling great after learning she is now a millionaire.

Rukmani Ramawad of Mississauga matched all seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Aug. 9, 2022 LOTTO MAX draw to win $1 million.

Ramawad, a hair stylist, is a regular player of LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49. But she was shocked when she found out her ticket was a big winner.

“I was in the gas station checking my ticket and saw all the zeros come up. I felt confused, I couldn’t believe it,” she said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her big cheque. “Everyone in the store was so excited for me!”

The mother of one said she told her daughter about her windfall right away.

“She was amazed and so happy for me,” Ramawad said.

Ramawad plans to put her winnings into savings and pay some bills.

“I’m happy and numb. It’s such a great feeling,” she said.

She bought the winning ticket at Circle K on Mavis Road in Mississauga.
