Missing woman in Mississauga is ‘unfamiliar’ with area

Police and the family of Koren Benjamin are concerned for her well-being after she was reported missing in Mississauga on Friday.

A public bulletin from the Peel Regional Police says that Benjamin, a 47-year-old Scarborough resident, is visiting the Mississauga area and is not familiar with it. She also suffers from poor eyesight and walks with a limp.

Benjamin was last seen walking southbound on Central Pkwy. from Burnhamthorpe Rd. E. in Mississauga at 11:50 a.m. on Friday (Feb. 24). Benjamin is described as a woman who is five-foot-six and 160 pounds with short black hair. When last seen, Benjamin was clad in a cream-coloured hooded jacket, black ripped jeans, white running shoes, and a white medical mask.

Anyone with information that may help with locating Koren Benjamin is asked to call Peel police (905-453–2121, ext. 1233).

UPDATE:

Peel police have located the missing 47-year-old woman and they say she is safe and in good health.
