Missing Oakville man last seen at Go Station has been safely located

UPDATE: Halton Regional Police report that Albert Opoku, 29, of Oakville has been safely located.

“The Halton Regional Police Service would like to thank the media and the community for their assistance in this investigation,” police said in a media release.

Halton Police are asking the public’s assistance in finding a missing Oakville man they believe may have been heading to the Hamilton area.

Albert Opoku, 29 was last seen at the Oakville Go Station at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 31).

Opoku (in photo below) is described by police as a black male who is approximately six-foot-two, 175-pounds with a medium build, short black hair and a moustache.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with black jeans and carrying a yellow backpack.

Opoku has braces on his teeth and a tattoo of a rose on his left hand. Police say he may have been headed to the Hamilton area.

Opoku’s family and police are concerned for his well-being.

Anyone with information about Opoku or his possible whereabouts is asked to contact police through 9-1-1 or via the non-emergency line at 905-825-4777.
