Hamilton police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old who was last seen in Ancaster on Thursday.

Tru Healey was last seen around 10 p.m. in the area of Wilson Street East and Rousseau Street, Hamilton Police say.

Healey is described as being 5-foot-5 in height with a slim build and a weight of 130 pounds. He has short black hair.

At the time of the disappearance, Healey was wearing a black and grey crewneck sweater, dark grey athletic pants and an orange beanie and was carrying a black school bag with the name “Tru” stitched on it.

It is unclear if Healey is travelling on foot, in a car, or by public transit and it is unknown if he is alone or in the company of others.

Investigators say family members and officers are concerned for the teen’s well-being.

Anyone with information about Healey’s whereabouts is asked to contact Hamilton Police Division 30 at 905-546-3886. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at crimestoppershamilton.com.

Police advise members of the public not to approach the missing person if located and to contact authorities instead.
