Minor injury sustained in targeted east Hamilton shooting: Police

Hamilton Police are investigating after a home in the city’s east end was targeted in an overnight shooting incident on Monday (April 18).
Police said they were called to a residence at 44 Martha Street at around 3:30 a.m. Monday to reports of a shooting.
When police arrived on scene, they located bullet holes on a home in the area and one minor injury was reported and was found to be the result of broken glass.
Investigators believe the incident to have been targeted and that there is no risk to public safety.
Detectives from Division 20 Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating and residents in the area should expect an increased police presence Monday.
Residents in the area are asked to review their security surveillance cameras around the time of the incident.
