Minister of Transport, Omar Alghabra recently emphasized his commitment towards expanding service on the Milton GO train line with two-way, all-day service.

In an exclusive interview, Alghabra told insauga‘s Khaled Iwamura that the project is something he’s “really passionate about.”

Last month, Alghabra met with Ontario’s Minister of Transportation, Caroline Mulroney, to discuss the project.

Following the meeting, Alghabra said the following on Twitter. “We are ready to invest in two-way all-day GO service on the Milton Line. We are committed towards a better, faster and more reliable transportation network for Ontarians.”

“Without the provincial government, we cannot proceed. We want to proceed. I am committed to this project and I am hoping that the government of Ontario will send us a proposal to expand that line.”
