Milton’s new Area 8 park, formerly known as Kelso Quarry will open tomorrow

After over 20 years of restoration work, Conservation Halton’s newest park in Milton will be opening to the public tomorrow.
The park, which many Milton residents may remember as the former Kelso Quarry located at 5437 Steeles Ave W., will now be known as Area 8.
While park development will continue in phases over the next few years, visitors will finally be able to enjoy the park on weekends as of Saturday, Oct. 16.
The fall season, in particular, will allow for visitors to experience beautiful scenery on the surrounding escarpment while hiking the trail around the lake.
Residents are reminded that reservations will be required to visit the park.
