The Town of Milton’s annual asphalt overlay program is set to begin next week and will take place until the fall.

As a result, several road closures are to be expected while the work is completed.

The program will include partial or full asphalt removal, asphalt paving, localized curb and sidewalk replacement, asphalt sealing and the reinstatement of pavement markings, where they are present.

As a result, residents are advised that they may need to temporarily park on side streets during construction activities.

Additionally, if sod is replaced, residents are being asked to water the sod in order to establish proper growth.

Residents are also being advised that the Town will not be issuing driveway permits for any new or modified private entrances for properties within the limits of the project. Any applications received will be cancelled or deferred until the following calendar year.

The Town will also not be held responsible for any damage to sprinkler systems and private landscaping elements that have been placed within the public road allowance.
