Milton woman taken to Toronto hospital with serious injuries after car collides with two trucks

A serious collision involving a vehicle and two trucks Tuesday morning (July 26) resulted in a Milton woman being taken to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.

The 24-year-old Milton resident was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital for emergency treatment after a three-vehicle accident that took place at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Hornby Road in Milton.

The young women was driving a Mazda 3.

A 46-year-old Cambridge resident, who was driving a dump truck, and a 61-year-old Brampton resident, who was operating a transport truck and trailer, were also involved in the collision.

Due to the severe nature of the injuries, members of the HRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit attended and took handle of the investigation.

Investigation of the scene was also assisted by Forensic Services and members of the Commercial Motor Vehicle unit.

As a result of the collision, which took place near an active construction zone, Trafalgar Rd. was closed for some six hours.
