Queen’s Park has announced it will spend $20.8 million to build an elementary school in Milton.

Tentatively named South-East #13 Elementary School, the building will be part of the Halton District School Board (HDSB) and provide room for 788 students as well as 88 child care spaces.

The announcement was made today (Feb. 7) by Milton MPP Parm Gill.

According to Councillor Mike Cluett, the school’s completion is set to take place in two years. An official name for the school has yet to be chosen.

This news follows Gill’s announcement last week that the Province will spend a separate $17.9 million to build Milton #9 Catholic Elementary School, which will be part of the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) and located on Gordon Krantz Ave.
