Milton Remembrance Day events held over two weekends

Various Remembrance Day ceremonies are being held across Mississauga on Saturday.

Milton residents will have several chances to participate in Remembrance Day events this year.

In-person events this year include two parades and a ceremony.

The Haltonville Remembrance Day Parade is this Sunday, Nov. 6. It starts from Amos Drive at 1:45 pm. and proceeds to the cenotaph in Haltonville, according to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 136, Milton.

The Town of Milton notes 15 Side Road between Amos Drive and Guelph Line will be closed on Nov. 6 between 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. for the parade.

Then on Friday, Nov. 11, there will be a short march from the Legion to the Milton Evergreen Cemetery for a Remembrance Day ceremony at the cenotaph at 11 a.m.

The Milton Remembrance Day Parade is on Sunday, Nov. 13. The parade forms up at the Legion, 21 Charles St. at 1:30 p.m. and it proceeds down Main Street.
