Milton Public Library will be hosting a virtual storytelling session next month that will feature an actress from Mississauga.

The session will feature Christine Aziz, an actress, writer, singer and producer whose storytelling has been featured in two shows including ELLAmentary, which was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award and won a spot in the “Best of the Fringe” Festival in Toronto.

Her second show, called Tea with Bea, was a musical tribute to vaudeville star Beatrice Lillie, which was performed in New York.

Most recently, Aziz toured the U.S. with the Broadway hit How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical and has appeared on TV shows such as Chucky, Mayday and The Firm.

The virtual session, which will enable participants to improve their storytelling abilities, will take place on Apr. 14 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.

“Everyone has stories to tell, and we’d love to hear yours! We’ll discuss what makes engaging storytelling, provide fun activities to explore style and develop your unique voice, and workshop the personal stories you’re eager to share,” said the Milton Public Library’s event page.

“Stories connect us all and we look forward to connecting with you!”

The event is open to those ages 16 and older. Those interested in participating must pre-register to receive login information before the session.
