The Milton Public Library (MPL) will be hosting a free virtual event this week that will feature a popular Canadian comedian and bestselling author.
The event will feature Mark Critch, a popular face in Canadian comedy best known for being the “roving reporter” for CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
During his time as the “roving reporter,” he has photo-bombed Justin Trudeau, offered Pamela Anderson a million dollars to stop acting and crashed White House briefings, among others.
Critch is also the author of Son of a Critch, a book about growing up in Newfoundland in the ’80s that will be discussed at the virtual event.
The book, which depicts the feelings of a child who is trying to figure things out, recounts several memories while also including his clever snd witty adult observations.
The virtual event will take place on Apr. 21, at 7:00 p.m.

Additionally, those who are interested in purchasing a copy of the book may buy one for a discounted price of $15 at any Milton Public Library branch. Each copy purchased will come with a signed bookplate.
