Wilfrid Laurier University has partnered with the Town of Milton and the Milton Public Library for another virtual lecture series, this time on the cannabis market.

The 12th season of the Laurier Milton Lecture Series, which kicked off back in October, features faculty members and researchers from across the university who speak to the community about various topics.

The upcoming lecture, which will take place later today (Mar. 9), will feature marketing expert, Dr. Sarah J. S. Wilner. It will discuss a product design’s role in transforming cannabis from underground to mainstream.

“We are pleased to begin another year of programming with the Milton Public Library,” said Carolyn Hawthorn, associate director of Laurier’s strategic initiatives in Milton, when the series kicked off.

“This partnership continues to share the incredible research of Laurier faculty members with the Halton community and beyond. Moving the series to an online platform has increased accessibility and engagement, with participants joining lectures from across Ontario.”

Lectures will be held virtually from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month until May 11 and will be free and open to the public with no registration required.
