After the season was put on a brief pause due to COVID-19 restrictions in Ontario, the Milton Menace is celebrating yet again after winning another game since they’ve been back.

Last night (Feb. 8), the team won 4-1 against the Oakville Blades.

At the beginning of January, the junior hockey team started the year off with a big win until the Ontario government made an announcement regarding new restrictions that would affect the season.

The announcement came on Jan. 3, when Premier Doug Ford said that due to a rapid rise in COVID-19 cases, the province would temporarily be moving to a modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen resulting in the remainder of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) being put on hold.

On Jan. 31, the temporary restrictions were lifted, meaning the season was allowed to resume.

The Milton Menace are scheduled to play again on Feb. 11 against the Brantford 99ers.
