Milton man facing several charges related to human trafficking

A Milton man is facing several charges related to human trafficking.
In January, Halton police officers from the Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation. That concluded yesterday, Feb. 2, with the execution of a search warrant and arrest of a suspect.
Chris Almas, 45, who sometimes uses the online handle of ‘Christy Lee’, has been charged with:
- sexual assault
- non-consensual distribution of intimate images
- procuring
- exercise control
- material benefit resulting from sexual services
- advertise sexual services
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone who may have information to contact Det.-Cst. Serafini of the Human Trafficking Unit at 905-825-4747, ext. 4974. .
