Milton man charged following incident at Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills

A Milton man has been charged following an incident at Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills.
On April 8, 2022, at approximately 2:35 p.m., the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to an address in the area of Robinson Rd. and Bowman St. in Georgetown for a report of a male who had broken into a residential garage.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene in a white Ford F150 after being confronted by the homeowner.
Officers attended the area and located the suspect vehicle, however, the driver failed to stop for police and drove off in a dangerous manner.
Police say the vehicle then drove to the Toronto Prime Outlets located at 13850 Steeles Ave. West in Halton Hills, where the driver struck five vehicles before abandoning the truck and fleeing on foot.
According to police, the suspect was located and arrested in a nearby field by K9 and Tactical officers.
Police say the truck being driven by the suspect had been reported stolen from Toronto and that no civilian injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
According to police, Adrian Gembal, a 37-year-old from Milton has been charged with break and enter, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to stop after accident, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, assault with intent to resist arrest, obstruct peace officer, fail to comply with probation order and operation while prohibited (5 counts).
Gembal was held in custody pending a bail hearing, according to police.
