The Milton Film Festival, which is returning at the end of this month, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

The 2023 Milton Film Festival is set to make a comeback on Jan. 27 to 29, 2023, for a hybrid event that will take place both online and in theatre at the First Ontario Arts Centre Milton, located at 1050 Main St. East.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person event was temporarily put on hold and the film festival was held virtually. However, following two successful virtual festivals, the event will be bringing back a hybrid version that will combine both in-person theatre and online streaming of films and Q&As.

“We will continue to bring the best of local, Canadian, and international films to our audience – this year as a hybrid event,” reads the event’s website.

This year, the film festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary and is promising more features, short films and guests than ever before as a result. The festival will also be showcasing critically acclaimed feature films from Canada and around the world as well as a selection of short films by local and regional filmmakers and hosting discussion panels.

In total, this year’s festival will feature eight in-person screenings over the course of three days, plus another five virtual screenings available for a whole week.

Single tickets as well as film and virtual passes are currently on sale for the event. Weekend and VIP passes are also available for purchase.
