The Milton Film Festival recently announced that they will be participating in National Canadian Film Day, presented by REEL CANADA.

National Canadian Film Day, an initiative that falls on Apr. 20, is a celebration of Canadian cinema.

This year, the Milton Film Festival will be participating in the initiative through free virtual screenings of two Indigenous Canadian films entitled Beans and Run Woman Run.

Beans follows the story of a twelve-year-old named Beans who is torn between childhood and adolescence and is forced to grow up quickly and become a tough Mohawk warrior during the Oka Crisis.

Run Woman Run is a comedy featuring a single mother named Beck, who learns how to honour her life and reclaim her dreams and family, thanks to the help of an unlikely coach.

Both films will be available for one day only on National Canadian Film Day.
