There might be snow in the forecast, but the organizers of the Milton Farmers’ Market are already looking forward to the spring.

The market has put out a call to vendors for the annual event, which runs Saturday mornings from late May to early October.

The market has taken place the last two years at Milton Fairgrounds, for pandemic-related reasons, but is expected back on its Main St. home this year, which was first used in 1990.

Organizers are looking for food vendors, crafters and not-for-profit or charity groups to apply for booths.

The Milton Farmers’ Market started in 1972 and is one of the only markets in the province where the street is closed down and pedestrians are free to stroll and visit with local vendors and businesses.

The goal of the market is to give people a sense of community and a great meeting place for friends, family and neighbours.
