Milton drivers who regularly use Bronte St. between Main St. and Steeles Ave. will have to find an alternative for about a month.

The Town of Milton is about to tackle the portion of Bronte St. known locally as ‘The Jog’, a chicane feature in the road just south of the CPR railway tracks. In addition, there will be reconstruction of the railway crossing.

Bronte St. N. is expected to be closed at the CPR tracks from May 23 to June 23.

Detour route traffic will be routed via Main St. W., Tremaine Rd. and Steeles Ave. Trucks will detour via Derry Rd., Tremaine Rd. and Steeles Ave.

The Town of Milton is making significant investments in community infrastructure this year to make travel safe and accessible. During construction, the public is encouraged to plan travel in advance, consider alternate routes, follow signage and be patient while travelling in and around construction areas.
