Milton council meeting postponed until tonight

The Milton Council meeting that was set to take place last night, has been postponed until tonight (Jan. 18).

The meeting was rescheduled as a result of the heavy snowfall that took place yesterday (Jan. 17).


Topics up for discussion include the passage and implementation of the Halton Region Waterpipe Smoking By-law, the lowering of speed and automated speed cameras near elementary schools, a potential change to the standard speed limit, various zoning by-law amendment applications as well as an Indigenous Relations update.

Public Meetings will also be held tonight during the Council meeting.

The meeting is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
