At a recent meeting, Milton council approved an application proposing two new residential apartment buildings in the Town.

The applicant, Neatt Communities (Nipissing) Inc., proposed two residential apartment buildings, with 595 residential dwelling units along with associated parking at 145 and 151 Nipissing Rd.

The proposal noted that these condo residences would be conveniently located close to the Milton GO Station, major highways and more.

The applicant proposed both towers be constructed on top of six-storey podiums and that they respectively be 23 and 19 storeys in height.

A three-storey above-ground parking structure wall was also proposed along the existing rail line, which would provide a total of 655 parking spaces, together with an underground parking garage.

The proposed development required an amendment to the Official Plan in order to permit a maximum height of 23 storeys.

At a meeting on Mar. 21, Milton Council approved the application.

Completion of this project is expected to take place in 2025.
