Milton burglar makes off with supermarket cash register

A brazen burglar has carried away the cash register after breaking into a Milton supermarket.

According to reports, the break-in occurred overnight between Sunday, Jan. 8 and Monday, Jan. 9 at Kabul Farms Supermarket located at 550 Ontario St. S.

Halton Regional Police indicate the perpetrator got into the store by prying open a back door. Once inside the suspect grabbed the cash register and carried it off.

Around the same time, a nearby dental office was the target of another attempt at a break in but this time the culprit was unsuccessful.

Police say again, the suspect tried to pry open the back door of the store located near Bronte St. S. and Anne Blvd. but failed to gain entrance.

In both cases, there is no description of those wanted for these crimes and they don’t know if the incidents are related.
