Milton budget talks begin, public can have a say in the process

The Town of Milton will delve into the budget process when councillors meet in December.
Already available in its preliminary stages, the 2023 proposed capital and operating budgets will be presented to councillors for the first time at the Dec. 12 meeting and the public will have the opportunity to provide input.
The 2023 proposed budget is focused on advancing council’s and the community’s priorities with investment in:
- Customer service
- Modernization of services
- Sustainability – environmental and financial
- Quality community assets
- Asset Management
Residents of Milton can get involved with the budget by:
- Learning more about the 2023 proposed budget and highlights online
- Submitting comments to be considered in the budget process
- Registering to speak at the Dec. 12 meeting by submitting a Delegate Request Form by 10 a.m. on Dec. 8
- Attending or watching the live webcast of the council budget meeting on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.
