The end of summer is around the corner but there’s still more chances for some fun in the sun with the return of the historic Brampton Fall Fair this weekend.
With roots dating back to the 1850s, the Brampton Fall Fair has a long history of mixing barnyard and fairground fun with education through livestock shows, homecraft exhibits, midway rides and lots more.
Hosted by the Region of Peel Agricultural Society, the annual event took a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic but returned in 2022 with carnival games, rides, rodeo events and even a high-octane demolition derby along with seven livestock shows.
“Our aim is to entertain you with shows, mini tractor pulls, demolition derby, falconry exhibits, pigeon and small animal judgings, horse exhibits, barrel racing, wrestling, tricks from the trained four-legged wonders at our dog show as well as the midway and vendors,” organizers say if the Brampton Fall Fair.
The Fall Fair has plenty of family-friendly activities on deck for Bramptonians to enjoy, festival food and food trucks, local artisans and vendors, a classic car show and beer gardens.
Admission to the Brampton Fall Fair is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and entry is free for children under five years old. There are also weekend passes available for $40 for adults and $20 for students and seniors.
This year’s fair will run from Sept. 12 to Sept. 15 at the Brampton Fairgrounds, located at 12942 Heart Lake Road in Caledon.
