If it’s a summer weekend in Mississauga, there must be a festival going on somewhere.

Mississauga has become known as a hotspot for summer festivals over the years. During a recent City of Mississauga council meeting, the City’s commissioner of community services noted that “we have been the city of festivals for a long time…”

A check of any weekend calendar of events in Mississauga will likely turn up a festival or two taking place.

This Saturday (Aug. 27), the Carnival Middle Eastern Festival 2022 comes to town.

Running from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at Croatian Parish Park (Father Kamber) in Streetsville, the festival features live entertainment, kids’ activities and more.

Additionally, some 60 vendors will be selling a variety of goods, including artisan products from many different countries.

The park is located at 4525 Mississauga Rd.
