Michelin restaurant from Vietnam just opened its first downtown Toronto location

A pho restaurant from Vietnam with a history that stretches back over 50 years and a Michelin-level reputation has finally opened a location in downtown Toronto.

Pho Le has previously been open in Richmond Hill, but now they’re coming straight to the heart of downtown Toronto to serve their delicious pho that’s gained Michelin Bib Gourmand status.

Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants are selected by the prestigious international food guide for providing exceptional cooking at an affordable price.

Pho Le uses two kilograms of beef and bones for every litre of broth, flies in their herbs and spices from Vietnam and makes everything fresh daily to order.

The best part is, you can try different regional Vietnamese dishes at Pho Le, from classic pho ga (chicken pho) and spicy bun bo hue to Bún Riêu (crab vermicelli soup with soft shell crab) and Hủ Tiếu (a special rice noodle soup with shrimp, squid, fish ball, pork and quail egg).

“For 55 years, Phở Lệ has been Vietnam’s most beloved pho,” reads the official Pho Le website.

“In Saigon, locals line up for our bowl from dawn to dusk. Today, we bring Vietnam’s national treasure to Canada’s most diverse cities, sharing dishes made exactly the same way: same recipe, same craft, same standards.”

Pho Le is now open in downtown Toronto at 51 Baldwin St.
