A popular steakhouse from Vancouver will soon be opening their first Toronto restaurant, and it’s time to start getting excited about it.
Riley’s Fish & Steak specializes in just what it sounds like, over-the-top meat and seafood. The opening of the Toronto location of the Vancouver brand is just around the corner.
The restaurant’s menu features eye-popping dishes such as a hot seafood tower that’s actually exclusive to the Toronto location of Riley’s, as well as extravagant table side items like whole salt baked sea bass, lobster pot pie and hand carved prime rib.
Riley’s has now received Michelin recognition in Vancouver. The Toronto location will be the second restaurant in the city for Glowbal Restaurant Group, which is also behind steakhouse Black + Blue.

The kitchen is helmed by executive chef Scott Saunderson, who has 25 years of experience in both Toronto and the United Kingdom.
“Riley’s is about celebrating great ingredients and classic cooking in a way that feels exciting and social,” says Saunderson. “With the expanded kitchen in Toronto, we’re able to push the menu further — from table side preparations to standout seafood and prime Canadian steaks — while staying true to what makes a great chophouse.”
The look of the space was designed by Ken Lam and draws its inspiration from the glow of the iconic “golden hour” of the day, with lots of sweeping curves, textures, earthy tones, plush seating, warm lighting, and intimate alcoves. The space also incorporates a custom built stages where live music performances will regularly take place.

“Riley’s is about warmth, rhythm, and intimacy,” says Lam. “It’s a grand space designed to feel personal — where lighting, materials, and architecture work together to elevate the dining experience without overwhelming it.”
“Toronto is one of the most exciting culinary cities in North America,” says Emad Yacoub, Co-Founder and CEO of Glowbal Restaurant Group. “With Riley’s, we didn’t just open a restaurant, we created a destination that’s all about the art of sharing. It’s a place where food and genuine hospitality come together for every occasion.”
Riley’s Fish & Steak at 155 Wellington St. W. in Toronto is slated to open on April 9.
