Go Transit is making some changes to its bus network to provide more frequent service on core routes and better connect passengers to major destinations.

Some of these changes include the end of some routes, such as Route 81 (serving Beaverton, Port Perry and Whitby) and Route 88A (serving Oshawa and Peterborough), as well the “temporary” replacement of some GO Trains with buses on the Lakeshore East Line, including  the last departure in each direction from Sunday to Thursday and the first four departures in each direction on Saturday and Sunday.

Other routes are getting some extra service with the changes, which take affect April 8.

GO Route 41A trips from Hamilton will be extended to serve Pickering GO Station and more weekend service will be added to Route 52, which services the Oshawa 407 Terminal, though some local stops on Winchester Rd. E. will be removed.

Other routes will see reduced service, have scheduled times move slightly or be combined with other routes.
