Metrolinx is offering new jobs that require limited experience in Ontario

According to recent data from Metrolinx, there has been a massive increase in available positions with the transport organization throughout the GTA.

While many of these placements won’t have you become a train conductor per se, they still appear to offer a hands-on opportunity to work with Southern Ontario’s most expansive transport service. 

Beyond the variety displayed by these open positions , there also appears to be a focus on general accessibility for candidates, as many of these positions do not include the need for post-secondary accreditation.

However, varying degrees of certification are still required for some.

As of the time of publication (May 15), the available positions are: 

  • Director, Train Service Planning Lead (no degree required) 
  • Project Coordinator (diploma or equal accreditation required)
  • Station Ambassador (high school education required)
  • VP of Rail Operations (degree required)
  • Station Saftey Ambassador (diploma/certificate required)
  • Revenue Protection Officer (diploma/certificate required)
  • Director, GO Expansion (degree required)

As indicated by Metrolinx, all listed positions have an application deadline of May 24.
