Medical episode leads to three-car collision in Oshawa and sends driver to hospital

A 62-year-old driver suffered a medical episode Sunday morning in Oshawa, leading to a three-vehicle collision.
The driver was rushed to hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition. He was transferred to a Toronto-area hospital for follow up treatment. The other parties received minor injuries.
Central East officers were called to Gibb Street near Grenfell at 11:45 a.m. Sunday for a head-on collision involving three vehicles. The offending vehicle was travelling westbound on Gibb Street when the driver suffered a medical episode. The vehicle then crossed into the eastbound lane and struck another car, which then hit a third vehicle travelling eastbound.
