cloudy day

The showers, thunderstorms and fog patches from Saturday night should clear up this morning, with a cloudy day and highs of 22 expected in the GTA, a big jump from the nighttime low of just 11 degrees.

Clear skies later this morning will give way to increasing cloudiness in the evening, with a 60 per cent chance of more overnight showers in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton Region. The winds will be 20 km/hr, gusting to 40 tonight with a risk of overnight thunderstorms and a low of 15 C.

Hamilton will be much the same with a high of 21 and gentler overnight breezes and nighttime lows of a balmy 16 degrees.

The high for Sunday will be a touch warmer at 23 C on the other side of Toronto in Durham Region. The increasing cloudiness after midnight and the risk of overnight thunderstorms remains the same as the western half of the GTA.

The overnight low from Pickering to Clarington will be 15 degrees.
