Mattress on busy Mississauga street prompts warning from police to secure your loads

A queen-size mattress that posed a danger to east Mississauga drivers this morning after it fell into live lanes of traffic has prompted a warning from police.
Peel Regional Police say anyone transporting large items on top of their vehicle or on the back must ensure the items are safely strapped down.
At about 8 a.m. this morning, police responded to a report of a large mattress in the eastbound lanes of Bloor St., near Havenwood Dr.
“It was definitely a queen size,” police confirmed via Twitter after officers arrived on the scene.
“As a reminder, loads such as a mattress must be secured to your vehicle when they are being transported,” police said via Twitter.
