Massive power outage hits over 2,200 homes and businesses in Hamilton

A major power outage is currently in effect today (August 7) in Hamilton.

Alectra reports that 2,219 homes and businesses are affected in the area of Cootes Dr to Fallsview Rd and Olympic Dr to Bond St in Dundas.

Crews have been dispatched to make repairs.

Power is estimated to return by 7:30 p.m.
