Massive power outage hits Hamilton

Several homes and businesses are affected this morning after a power outage in Hamilton.

On Sunday (Feb. 19) at approximately 8 a.m., residents in the Alexander Graham Bell Pkway area were left with no power.

Alectra, the communities utility service says the outage has affected 2917 homes and businesses located on James St/York Blvd up to Aberdeen Ave.

Although efforts are being made to get power up and running, residents that are affected will have to wait it out a little bit longer as the estimated time for restoration is yet to be determined.
