Massive power outage effecting Hamilton this morning

A major power outage is currently in effect this morning (August 11) in Hamilton.
Alectra reported at 5:30 a.m. that 4174 homes and businesses are affected in the area bounded by Lonwood Avenue to James street and from the escarpment to Lake Ontario of Hamilton.
The cause of the outage is: being investigated
Crews have been dispatched to make repairs.
Power is estimated to return by 9:00 a.m.
