Massive power outage effecting 6312 homes and businesses in Hamilton

There is a massive power outage effecting Hamilton this morning.

A power outage is affecting nearly 6312 homes and businesses in the area of Wilson Street and Fennell Avenue and Locke Street South and Wentworth Street South (June 26).

Alectra, the utility that supplies the city’s power, tweeted at 6:59 a.m. that 6312 homes and businesses in that area lost power early this morning.

Crews have been sent to the scene of the issue. There is no estimated time for the power to be back up yet.
