Massive power outage affecting Mississauga this morning

A hydro issue has been identified in a Mississauga neighbourhood, causing just over 2000 homes and business to lose power (Oct 20).

Alectra Utilities first reported the power outage at 5:00 a.m., saying crews have been dispatched to the location with 2069 customers without power at the time.

The main area affected is from the the areas of Meadowvale and Danville Park.

The estimated time of power restoration is 8:30 a.m. (Oct. 20).

Update: At 8:30 a.m. Alectra said the power outage is affecting approximately 47 homes and businesses on Edwards Boulevard. The estimated time for power restoration is 10 a.m.
