Massive Power Outage Affecting Homes and Traffic Lights in Mississauga

An ongoing power outage is affecting homes, businesses and traffic lights in Mississauga.
Alectra recently announced that an outage is affecting 1,496 homes and businesses in the Burnhamthorpe Rd W and Hurontario St area.
Peel police recently confirmed that some traffic lights are out in the city and are advising residents to use extra caution.
Numerous traffic lights have lost power in areas of #Mississauga. Obey instructions from officers directing traffic or treat as all way stop if no officer present.

Alectra says crews are working to resolve the issue.
Power should be restored by 6:00 p.m.
