Massive lottery jackpot up for grabs in Canada on Friday

A massive lottery jackpot is up for grabs in Canada this week.

The Lotto Max jackpot stands at an estimated $65 million for Friday’s draw, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says.

There are also an estimated eight maxmillion prizes that could be won, valued at $1 million each.

The last time the Lotto Max jackpot was at $65 million was on Nov. 15, the OLG said.

It ultimately wasn’t won for another few weeks, until Dec. 3 when the jackpot was at $80 million and was split between two tickets: one sold in Quebec and the other in Alberta.

In the most recent Lotto Max draw on Tuesday, March 25, two $1 million maxmillion prizes were won.

Both of those went to tickets sold in Quebec.

Lotto Max is a national lottery game played on Tuesdays and Fridays. It costs $5 per play.
