Major gym chain closing Orange Theory location in Mississauga.

A popular discount chain gym is set to open another location in Mississauga.

Fit4Less, owned by GoodLife Fitness, will revamp the area previously held by the UFC gym in City Centre.

This change comes after the first UFC gym in Ontario unexpectedly closed its doors this past spring, marking the end of a seven-year run.

The sudden closure on March 23, surprised members and staff who had enjoyed its diverse fitness classes, private MMA training, and group workouts, along with reasonable membership fees. The closure, marked by a sign citing renovations, left loyal patrons puzzled, as calls and messages went unanswered and the Instagram account was eventually deleted.

Despite this unexpected turn, the new Fit4Less gym is poised to provide a budget-friendly fitness solution for enthusiasts in the area with memberships starting at $7.99 every two weeks.

As of now, there is no official grand-opening date for the 3900 Grand Park Drive location, though the company’s main website indicates it will be ready by early 2024.

If you’re eager to jumpstart your health-related New Year’s resolutions, signing up earlier could be a viable option.

Currently, three nearby locations are in operation in Mississauga, situated at 60 Bristol Road East, 6991 Millcreek Dr., and 7205 Goreway Drive.
